
If you're just surfing the net and come across this, but don't remember the '80 Olympics, it was truly a source of national pride.
Lake Placid was one of the most exciting hockey events ever held! Including professional sports. Are you kidding? It was a bunch of kids from the good ol' U.S.A. against Russia's professional team. Of course, they weren't supposed to be professional, but that's what they did all year.
Of the 20 players on the U.S. team, 13 eventually played in the NHL. Five of them would go on to play over 500 NHL games...
